What to see and do

Dartmoor offers some of the most outstanding walking, riding and cycling in the country, with many routes accessible directly from the farm. Only 25 mins from the beautiful south Devon coast and with many family attractions within easy reach there is plenty to keep everyone amused whatever the weather. See our links to local attractions at the bottom of the page. Children are welcome to help collect the eggs for breakfast and feed lambs in the spring.

Wildlife
Wingstone Farm is surrounded by fantastic wildlife habitat. Natural England's East Dartmoor reserve is 5 minutes away and is an ideal place to experience the wildlife of woodlands and heathlands. With our extensive local knowledge we can guide you to ideal viewing points for much of Dartmoor's fauna.

Golf
There are many good golf courses within easy reach such as Bovey Castle (currently featured in the top 100 UK golf courses), Stover and Teign Valley.

Kayaking
We are a short drive away from the beautiful river Dart, which offers some of the best white water kayaking in England for experienced paddlers. There are many other rivers within reach such as the Exe, Teign, Tamar and Plym making Wingstone an ideal base for a South West paddling holiday. We have lockable stores for kit and plenty of parking.
