Dartmoor offers some of the most outstanding walking in the country, with many routes accessible directly from the farm. Whether you are looking for a day's moorland hiking or a manageable family walk there are beautiful local routes for every day of the week and for all abilities.
Haytor, Houndtor, Widecombe, Grimspound , Jays Grave and the exquisite Bovey Valley are all within a day's walking distance of the farm. Hayne down and the famous Bowermans nose, which provide the stunning backdrop for the farm, makes an exciting family expedition with fabulous panoramic views or an evening's walk to enjoy the sunset for the more energetic. There are many fantastic local routes to traverse and maybe stumble across the pub for lunch, take in stunning scenery of rugged moorland and steep wooded valleys.
We welcome dogs in both the holiday cottage and the Bed and Breakfast accommodation.

The Haytor Hoppa bus service is run by Dartmoor National park and operates between March and October. The bus operates a circular route from Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Haytor, Widecombe in the Moor and Manaton and is ideal for walkers. Dogs are welcome on the bus.
